What a great place to have dinner! Food is so fresh and tasty, wine is really good and the service is perfect. Plus, they offer gluten-free options for pasta! A must do if you’re in Cisternino.

The pasta was delicious. The tartar from the 1st dish was just raw meat, not even salted.. Don't know, maybe that's how it should be done but I didn't like it. The mains were also really good. I asked for recommendation for wine and the waiter got exactly what I wanted! So delicious. They also have a wine shop. Really nice and Manny options.

I sadly didn't get to try any of their meals, as I'd already dined, but spontaneously, I booked a small 4-wine-tasting while my father had a gin mare Their usual is one sparkling white, one white, one rosé and one red, but I asked for one sparkling and three red. I had hoped the sparkling would be red as well, but I suppose that's still a bit too pop. It was a fine sparkling white, though not my perferance. Should be drank while cold, though as when it got slightly more room temp it wasn't super nice. Definitely goes to show they know their wine's ideal serving temperatures The three reds were all very nice, right up my alley. I had to buy one, and had it not been due to my limited luggage and approaching plane trip home, I'd have definitely gotten more. My father jokes i was ready on the spot to become a Puglian wine importer on the spot Definitely would have loved to bring them home to try to cook for them The place itself was beautiful, both inside and out. A smallish wine store with just enough wines for a wide selection but not so many that one would doubt they knew one from the other. We had the opportunity to sit in the corner of the terrace after dark, and it was so cosy. Beautiful lights and ambiance

Very nice restaurant nestled into a lovely garden space with both indoor and outdor tables. Food was very good, fresh ingredients, presented beautifully. A nice departure from traditional Puglia fare. Great wine selection.

Cisternino's only winebar - that is also a great restaurant! Excellent wines from Puglia (primitivo, negroamaro etc) and from many other regions. Don't miss out on combining the wine with their "tagliere" - selection of local salami and cheese.

Food, wine and service at Il Cucco was superb. This was probably the most "upmarket" restaurant we ate in during our time in Puglia, but the price said otherwise. The staff were knowledgable about the wine and helped pick something to our tastes (which they got spot on). Food was sublime; we had a selection of different starters which I'd definitely suggest if you like to try a bit of everything. The trio of lamb main was really good, as was the octopus my wife had. I'd come back in a heartbeat!
